I have applied for the Klaus-Tschira-Preis (German website) which is an award for an explanation of the PhD-thesis written in such a way that it is understandable for "normal" people. My competition contribution is called "Am Anfang waren Blitze". Independently of the competition this text might be interesting for people who want to get an overview what I have done in my PhD-thesis, therefore I make it available for download (German). I also added the article to my list of miscellaneous publications.
